About Objectives
Objectives
Six objectives, published in advance and reported against annually. The Executive Committee presents progress on each one to the General Body.
-
01
Widen access to the game
Remove cost, equipment and etiquette as barriers to a first round — through free clinics, loaned clubs and programmes aimed squarely at people who have never held a club.
-
02
Fund the country’s best young players
Identify talent through open trials and carry a selected squad on full scholarship — coaching, conditioning, entry fees and travel — against published performance benchmarks.
-
03
Establish golf outside Dhaka
Work with district clubs and sponsors to build practice facilities and a fixture calendar in Rangpur, Sylhet, Khulna and Chattogram.
-
04
Represent Bangladesh abroad
Enter club teams in regional amateur events and maintain reciprocal fixtures with partner clubs across Asia and the Gulf.
-
05
Host the world in Bangladesh
Welcome visiting golfers, diplomatic missions and touring sides, and provide the tee-time, travel and hospitality support that makes a visit straightforward.
-
06
Govern to international standard
Maintain World Handicap System administration, publish audited accounts, and hold committee elections on a fixed and transparent cycle.
Why the club publishes these
A club that states its objectives can be argued with. That is the point. Members who pay a subscription are entitled to know what it buys, and to say so at the Annual General Meeting if the answer is unsatisfactory.
Each objective carries a line in the annual budget and a named committee member responsible for it. Where an objective was not met, the committee report says so and explains why, rather than quietly dropping it from the following year’s list.
Support the work
Sponsorship funds the junior programme, the talent squad and the district clinics — and every sponsor receives a written account of what their contribution paid for.
