Membership Why join LION

Why join LION

A club deliberately built without a course of its own — so the money goes into players, and the membership plays the whole country.

Most golf clubs are, in the end, a piece of land with a subscription attached. That model works, but it has consequences: most of the money goes into maintaining the land, the waiting list protects the tee sheet, and the membership is shaped by who can afford to keep it that way.

LION was built the other way round. The club holds fixture agreements at six of the best courses in Bangladesh rather than owning one, which frees the subscription to fund coaching, junior places, tournament entries and travel.

That decision is why the club can say yes to people other clubs turn away. There is no waiting list measured in years, no requirement to arrive with a handicap, and no expectation that you already know how any of this works. Members come to us as complete beginners in their fifties and as fourteen-year-olds off the talent squad. Both are the point.

What we ask in return is that you play seriously, treat the game and its courses properly, and support the work the club exists to do.
