Golf Development Future Talent Development

Future Talent Development

A selected squad, backed all the way to the first tee abroad.

The club identifies fourteen players each season through open trials and carries them for a full year: advanced coaching, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, tournament entry fees and travel. Squad members are reviewed twice yearly against clear performance benchmarks and the strongest are entered into regional amateur championships.

How it works

Selection

Open trials each season at Kurmitola. Fourteen places, judged on ball-striking, scoring under pressure and coachability rather than current handicap alone.

What the club funds

Advanced coaching, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, equipment, tournament entry fees and travel — domestic and overseas.

Review

Squad members are reviewed twice yearly against published benchmarks. Places are not automatically renewed.

Who pays for this

Development is funded from subscriptions and sponsorship. Sponsors receive a written account of exactly what their contribution paid for.
