The backbone of the club. Every Friday, all handicaps, rotating between partner courses — where members meet, where handicaps are built, and where most new golfers play their first competitive round.

Guests may play twice per season at the guest rate. Life members may bring two guests to any fixture.

What to expect

All handicaps welcome

Divisions are set by handicap band so every standard competes fairly — and so a 28-handicap is not playing against a scratch golfer for the same prize.

It counts

Every round is submitted under the World Handicap System, so the weekly game is how most members build and maintain a handicap.

First-round nerves

New members are paired with an experienced player for their first three fixtures. Nobody is sent out alone to work it out.

If you have never played a competition

Weekly Golf is deliberately the least intimidating fixture the club runs. There is no qualifying standard, no dress inspection at the gate, and no expectation that you know the local rules — your playing partners will tell you.

Turn up twenty minutes before your tee time, sign in at the desk, and someone will walk you through the card. That is the whole of it.
