Discover golf in Bangladesh
A golfing country hiding in plain sight — mature parkland courses, decades old, that almost nobody outside the country knows exist.
Golf arrived in Bangladesh the way it arrived across South Asia — with the military and the civil service — and for most of the last century it stayed there. The courses were laid out inside cantonments by engineers and soldiers who had played elsewhere and wanted somewhere to play here.
The result is unusual. The best Bangladeshi courses are mature parkland, decades old, with established trees and genuinely interesting routing. Kurmitola sits in the middle of Dhaka, a proper championship layout inside one of the densest cities on earth. Bhatiary runs across hills above the Bay of Bengal with elevation changes you will not find again between here and the Himalayas.
What has changed recently is access. Courses that were effectively closed to outsiders now welcome visiting golfers, and clubs like this one exist partly to make that straightforward. A round costs a fraction of the equivalent in Thailand or Malaysia. The season runs from November to March, when the weather is dry and mild and the turf is at its best.
The remaining obstacle is simply that people do not think of Bangladesh as a golf destination. We would like to change that — and we will arrange your golf if you let us.

What the golf is actually like
Parkland, not links
Mature trees, generous but defended fairways, and greens that reward an approach played below the hole. Wind is rarely the defence; position is.
Condition
Turf is at its best from November to March. Through the monsoon the courses stay playable but slow, and scoring rises accordingly.
Pace of play
Four hours and a half is normal. Caddies keep groups moving and know every yardage worth knowing.
